Welcome to the culinary gem that is Restaurant Racó del Port, nestled along the picturesque Pg. Marítim in L'Estartit, Girona, Spain. This delightful eatery captures the essence of Mediterranean dining, showcasing a vibrant menu that draws inspiration from fresh local ingredients and traditional flavors.
The atmosphere here is inviting, perfectly suited for families, friends, and those seeking a romantic night out by the port. With a reputation for superb service, diners can expect not just great food, but a welcoming experience crafted by the attentive staff. On my visit, I was struck by the delightful ambiance, enriched by the sounds of the nearby waves and the alluring aromas from the kitchen.
A highlight of the menu is the Goat Cheese Salad, a wonderful symphony of flavors featuring fried onion, cherry tomatoes, nuts, and a tangy mustard vinaigrette. It's a refreshing start that sets the stage for what’s to come. For those craving something heartier, the Grilled Sole with Vegetable Wok stands out for its simplicity and expertise in preparation, ensuring each bite is succulent and full of essence. The Filet de Vedella with grilled potatoes delivers a hearty meal with a premium cut of beef that melts in your mouth.
Don't overlook the Sea Bass Ceviche with Mango—a standout dish that showcases fresh seafood prepared with finesse. This is a celebration of the coast, where the sweetness of mango perfectly complements the crispness of the sea bass. It's dishes like these that elevate Racó del Port as a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike.
Customer reviews echo this sentiment, with many praising the tasty food and affordable prices. One thrilled patron, Larisa Tomsic, highlighted the grilled sardines as a must-have, while others have relished the patatas bravas, albeit with a cautionary note on the house sauce that strays from traditional recipes. Craig Pattinson, a returning guest, extols the beautiful setting and friendly service, stating, “Fantastic food in a great setting by the port.”
In conclusion, Restaurant Racó del Port is a delightful culinary escapade waiting to be discovered. With a diverse menu, exceptional service, and a location that’s hard to beat, it’s no surprise this restaurant garners rave reviews. Whether you come for a quick bite of tapas or a leisurely meal by the water, you’re sure to leave with a satisfied palate and a heart full of joy.

Amazing food at really good prices. The service was also excellent! Must go! Just little note: do not order the bravas, the sauce is made with curry (so, not real bravas)..

Products used are so great! So happy that we have given this place a chance. Menu 22€, take it, it is a steal. I love grilled sardines. I will return, just to have them one more time.

Excellent little tapas bar close to the port. Great food and friendly service. We had a selection of tapas and all plates were excellent. Best patatas bravas I've ever had and I've had a few! Fish and seafood was fresh and tasty.

Great food, very tasty and fresh - you can feel the quality. I absolutely loved the brava sauce and the vegetables wok was delicious. The blonde girl is the best waitress, very lovely and quick to respond to any need.

We loved going there when it was still a beach restaurant and the new location didn’t disappoint. The food and mojitos are just as great as before, but sadly the Patatas Bravas recipe changed and we missed their previous shape and taste (they were the best of Estartit!) So, maybe our only recommendation would be to revert back to the previous recipe? ;)
